Specially curated for the other side of Valentine’s we have a list of bands to celebrate love and cure you past heartbreaks.

Main Acts Featuring:

*AKTA ANGKASA
www.senipekik.com

“Akta Angkasa are an experimental art rock/noise rock band that focus on odd-time signatures, instrumental passages, and a cinematic performance. And judging by their performance shots which are dramatically backlit with fog machines and strobe lights on stand-by, their claim of a ‘cinematic performance’ certainly stands true.

They have just released their Kognitif EP; an exploration in trippy soundscapes and have assembled an impressive resume, with performances alongside Australian band, Spartak in 2007, playing various music festivals & shared numerous stages with international acts like Yoshida Tatsuya, Robin Fox and MR. Strile Assembly to name a few”. (*from Junk Magazine May 2010)

*FURNITURE

They just came out with an album - They Made Me Out Of Dreams You’ve Forgotten. They sing about “hope, hopelessness, being stuck, coming unstuck, and the end of the world”. Perfect.

*PARTIMELOVERS
www.myspace.com/partimelovers

There’s a definite buzz around Partimelovers, being bandied around for their likeness to Joy Division, Pulp, Interpol and so on. They have a new single out New Direction, from their split EP with fellow post-punk merchants Love/Comes. Check it out.

Supporting Acts Featuring:

To open for the headliners we also have assembled three acoustic acts, each along with their own originals are also covering your favourite hearbreak/love song to celebrate the occasion.

*NABIHAN SKRJABIN (feat. Ivan The Destroyer)
www.last.fm/music/Nabihan+Skrjabin

“My music is the ‘all-sort’ kind. I try to convey my music as honest as I can. Of course, I want to have a bit of fun with it. This is my soul-searching experience.”

Valentine’s Cover: The Cardigans - Lovefool & The Kooks - Naive

*SYAHRIL RIZA
www.myspace.com/enraiband
